Hawaiian Islands
The Hawaiian Islands are a special place. Truly unlike any other place. The easiest way for me to describe it is HEAVEN. Each island has a similar feel, with each having its own specialty. The main four are Oahu, the Big Island, Kauai, and Maui. Oahu is most known for Pearl Harbor; it’s a great place to start on a first Hawaiian trip. Big Island has a very similar feel. It’s also very commercialized, but you can still find some great authentic experiences. Volcano National Park is a highlight of the Big Island. Maui is an adventurer’s dream. It also has some of the best snorkeling I’ve ever done. Lastly, Kauai, our favorite destination. It’s very laid-back; everything closes by 8 p.m.It’s the best way to get the most authentic experience.
One of our favorite experiences on that island was definitely taking a catamaran around the Na Pali Coast. Overall, I cannot say enough about the Hawaiian Islands as a whole. It’s a destination everyone should experience at least once. Not only do we travel there annually, but I am a certified Hawaiian Islands specialist and stay current on all the new and evolving information.
